Una de las satisfacciones más inesperadas que me he llevado de mi viaje a NY es que, ya en el aeropuerto, y despues de haberla buscado en varios quioskos de Manhatan, me he encontrado con varias unidades de la revista ESQUIRE con su portada en e-ink.
El titulo es SPECIAL COLLECTOR´S EDITION THE WORLD’S FIRST E-INK COVER.
La he visto y no lo he dudado, he buscado entre las varias que había y me he quedado con la que tenia mejor pinta que rima con tinta. El número es de Octubre y celebra el 75 aniversario de la revista con:

No colecciono revista de manera conpulsiva, en realidad tengo dos números comprados en el rastro de National Geographic, el de la llegada del hombre a la luna, y el de el CHIP. Creo que con este he comprado, en su tiempo, algo que hará historia. Ya que en un futuro no muy lejano, será de lo más común consumir papel eléctronico. En el futuro de hecho quizá sea necesario ser una gran potencia en todos los medios para poder sobrevivir.
La sensación en la estanteria al lado de otras revista es fantástica, canta a la legua y hace que te fijes inevitablemente en ella, entre toda la voragine de revista que solemos encontrar en la libreria del aeropuerto. Y como no había visto ningun dipositivo con este tipo de «tinta», me resulta muy curioso como aparecen y desaparecen los titulares en color gris, sin necesidad de retroiluminación, como estamos acotumbrados en las pantallas convencionales.
El contenido es un p0co trivial, pero merece mención aparte un apartado en el que se explica como será el futuro, entre las perlas encontramos que el ganador de estas pasadas elecciones iba a ser Mackein y no Obama, el dia exacto en que determinadas ciudades recibiran unas cuantas bombas… Ni yo, con mis poderes mentales, me atrevo a ser tan preciso.
